June 2019 news briefs

New name for our mental health services

What used to be called Behavioral Health Services has been renamed Mental Health and Wellness. Same great services, just a new name, updated website, and new signage in our medical facilities.

Provider directory will have a new URL soon

This summer we plan to launch a new URL for our provider directory. The change will be largely invisible to our members — except those who have bookmarked the current URL. Redirection will occur for a short period of time.

Service area changes for 2020

Starting in 2020, Kaiser Permanente will no longer offer any health plans in San Juan County for small and large employer groups. Groups domiciled in San Juan County with an effective date of February 2019 through December 2019 will be allowed to maintain their coverage until their 2020 renewal date. This was a difficult business decision and we remain fully committed to providing coordinated and connected health care services at an affordable price to each person we serve. We continue to focus on communities where we provide our own top-rated providers, or where we have close relationship with care delivery partners sharing our approach to care. Our Sales and Account Managers will partner with you and your producer to make this a smooth transition. If you have any questions, please contact your producer or the Kaiser Permanente Washington Sales team for more information.
